Driving holidays
at the legendary San Bernardino Pass have been recommended by many, including the BBC’s Top Gear. It featured in their show on the world’s best driving roads, and the reasons for this are immediately apparent. Located in the Swiss Alps, connecting the towns of Misox and Hinterrhein, the San Bernardino Pass has twists, turns, hairpins and lovely smooth tarmac. It also has some of the most fantastic picturesque views of the Swiss Alps. It doesn’t matter what car you do the San Bernardino Pass in, take a photo of it with this backdrop and it will look as good as any Ferrari!

Once you’ve driven San Bernardino Pass a few times, head back to Zurich and take in the sights. A visit to Zurich gives you the opportunity to explore the cobbled streets lined with elegant boutiques, sip coffee in trendy cafés and pay a visit to the countless museums and galleries. Near Schaffhausen visit the Rhine falls, the most powerful waterfall in Europe, which is an especially good excursion on the Swiss national holiday in August when the region hosts a spectacular fireworks display.
